Some things that happened on August 8

I was planning on documenting this whole trip like I did with the California journal but it didn't happen--this is the last of it--and also Dylan and Max weren't there so it wasn't that fun and my family drove me mad. Except for Granny and Ruthie! I always get the 1000 legged worm song stuck in my head now.

cats cats cats

Today I made some cats.

I like cats, but really just the idea of them. Actual real live cats I'm not so sure about.

We're all feral.

Oh P.S. I told Chelsey to make some cats when I was making cats and she did, and then I painted them. Collab! See them at the bottom of her blog post here.

Some things that happened on August 6

I've had these pages waiting idly in the same sketch pad that played host to the California road trip journal. Hey, I think it's a fun blog thing, maybe I'll do more about everyday stuff. But I'm not sure how interesting school, work, grocery shopping, watch movies with Taylor, REPEAT, is.

every day

I have to do ~cityscapes~ which is pretty not exciting except that I'm starting to fall in love with LOOKING again which I abandoned some time in July in favor of reading.

Outside the waterfront on N 8th and Kent

Naptime in Union Square

Going home

It's a start. Better things will happen soon.

I spent the hottest days of July cutting, knotting, braiding, knitting, sewing, bleaching, and churning a boiling vat of black dye, and Mary Meyer for OAK is finally out. And it's rad! The fall line is just out too and the white Really Biggie is on the very top of my list.
