A couple little drawings I pulled out of my sketchbook. I liked the swimmers so much I made a bigger more final piece out of them.

I always, always want to make dolls, and since I hadn't done so in a few years I spent the past couple months making these. They have really long skinny arms and legs and the usual sad girl pout, so I've been calling them bored model dolls, sulking around my studio in a pack. All 5 are for sale in my shop here.
I was desperately hoping for like 2 years that everyone would forget about the black cat pattern, because I do a ton of other things and everyone always wants to talk about the cats, but now I'm just embracing it as my thing. If I ever accidentally become a real fashion designer, there will probably be one thing every season with this print.
I set up a little shop on Society6 primarily to sell iPhone cases and immediately ordered this one for myself. And it's great! It's a lot thinner and sleeker than my old case, and the print quality is really nice. I've listed a dozen different patterns in the Society6 shop, and if you see pattern you want as a case that isn't there now, just let me know and I can put it up!
A couple details from an involved pattern I've been working on for a few days. I'm planning on doing more repeats of "girls doing stuff" since I really like how this and the Badminton one turned out.
A few blueberry-related drawings I did over the summer. The top one is me as an Indian girl picking blueberries in Bar Harbor, Maine. That dream didn't happen this summer, and I baked a lot of blueberry bran/flax muffins with all our CSA blueberries instead. I can't guarantee that this recipe will work for you because I mostly made it up, but it made the best muffins ever every time I used it.
When Liz asked me if I'd like to host the Fashion's Night Out party & craft night at Dalaga in Greenpoint I immediately said yes, but I really don't know what I'm getting myself into! I've never hosted an event, never done anything fashion week related, never seen my clothes in a store in front of a ton of people...ha. So come by and say hi that night if you're in the area! And if you can't make it, or just want to see my clothes IRL, the pop-up shop will be there through September 16.
I finished up these posters last night for both the Greenpoint and Soho stores. It was a lot of fun drawing a bunch of different designers, and interesting to re-draw some of my own patterns.

He's so big!!!! And he still jumps into my arms and makes me hold him forever.
Really excited to be working with my neighbor Gina on some quilting-related projects. Gina makes amazing quilts, is an expert seamstress, and the best knitter I know (sorry Mom). Right now she's working as a knitwear designer for Anthropologie and has yarn and needles in her hands every time I see her: at the beach, watching the Olympics, etc. I put together a bunch of different patterns in similar colorways for us to work with. We're not actually making quilts, but you'll see...
